A variety of animations can make the information that is displayed look more dynamic, and animations also keep students interested in the PowerPoint presentation. As an educator teaches students about nutrition, students can view the PowerPoint and learn about key ideas that relate to nutrition. Some software allows people to create interactive video games. These video games can then be played on a PC. This software can allow a person to create fun and educational games that involve ideas related to student nutrition. For instance, a person may want to create a game that requires students to identify or name as many healthy and nutritious meals that can be eaten. A person can also create different puzzles related to student nutrition. Puzzles that may interest students include word searches and crossword puzzles. These puzzles can be typed on a computer. Some software can help people create different word searches and crossword puzzles. After the word searches and crossword puzzles have been created, the teacher can put copies of the puzzles on an overhead projector. Directing the puzzles that have been placed on an overhead projector to a blank whiteboard can allow many students to try to complete the puzzles. The students can write on the image presented on the whiteboard by using dry erasable markers.
